Why convert WebP to JPG?
WebP is modern and efficient, but some older email clients, older versions of Office, and some platforms still don't support it. JPG works everywhere.
Will quality drop?
Both formats are lossy, so re-encoding loses a tiny bit. At quality 90 the difference is invisible to the eye for almost any image.
What about transparent WebP?
JPG has no transparency, so any transparent pixels are flattened against the background colour you choose on the Output tab.
Will the file be larger?
Sometimes. WebP is more efficient than JPG, so the JPG output may be a bit larger at the same quality. Lower the quality slider for a smaller file.
How long is the result kept?
The JPG is auto-deleted after 7 days. Re-download is available during that window via the secure link.
