Is this a legally binding contract?
Yes, once both parties sign it, the document is a written agreement that the law in your chosen jurisdiction will generally treat as binding. It is not a substitute for tailored legal advice for high-value or specialised engagements, but for typical small-business services work it covers the essentials: scope, term, payment, confidentiality, intellectual property, termination, and governing law.
Which governing-law jurisdictions are supported?
Pick from England and Wales, Scotland, Republic of Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Netherlands, Delaware, California, New York, Ontario, New South Wales, or type your own under 'Other'. The clause text adapts to the choice.
Can I add my own clauses?
Yes. Use the 'Additional terms' field to add anything specific to your engagement (warranties, milestone schedule, non-compete, etc.). They appear in their own numbered section at the end of the body.
Can both parties sign electronically?
Yes. Each party can type their full name into the signature block; the typed name is rendered in a handwriting-style font in the PDF and is widely accepted as an e-signature for ordinary commercial contracts. For higher-stakes agreements you may want to use a dedicated e-signature service that captures audit trails.
Can I add my logo and brand it?
Yes. Upload a PNG or JPG (up to 1 MB) on the Style tab. Pick small, medium, or large and place it on the left or right. Choose your accent colour and font family from the Style tab.
How long is the contract kept?
Your contract PDF is auto-deleted after 7 days. Re-download is available during that window via the secure link.
