Frequently asked questions
Can I put the watermark anywhere on the page?
Yes. Choose from nine positions (corners, edges, or true centre) and adjust the margin and rotation. The live preview shows exactly where the watermark will land before you continue.
Can I apply the watermark to only some pages?
Yes. Pick 'All pages', 'First page only', or set a custom page range. Useful when you want the cover stamped but not the body, or only the executive summary marked.
Can I rotate the watermark diagonally?
Yes. The rotation slider runs from -180° to +180°. A 45° or -45° rotation is the classic diagonal CONFIDENTIAL look; 0° is straight across.
Can I choose the colour and how see-through it is?
Yes. Pick any hex colour and any opacity from 5% to 100%. Low opacity grey works well for subtle backgrounds; high opacity red for unmissable warnings.
Will the original text and layout stay intact?
Yes. The watermark is drawn as a new layer on top of each page. The original content underneath is not modified, re-rendered, or rasterised.
Is there a file size limit?
Files up to 50 MB are supported. That fits most multi-hundred-page PDFs.
How long is my file kept?
Your input and the watermarked PDF are both auto-deleted after 7 days. Re-download is available during that window via the secure link.
