Favicon Generator

Turn one image into a full favicon set, ICO plus PNG plus manifest, ready to drop in.

Upload one image and download a ZIP with everything a modern website needs: a multi-resolution favicon.ico, 16, 32, and 48 pixel PNGs, a 180 pixel Apple touch icon, 192 and 512 pixel Android icons, a site.webmanifest, and a README with the exact HTML tags to paste into your head.

How it works

  1. Upload a square-ish logo or image. Non-square uploads are auto-cropped to a centred square.
  2. We generate every standard favicon size, an ICO file, Android icons, an Apple touch icon, and a site.webmanifest.
  3. Unlock the result and download the ZIP. Paste the snippet from the included README into your HTML head.

Use cases

  • Add a proper favicon to a static site or landing page in under a minute.
  • Replace a stretched or low-quality favicon with crisp icons at every size.
  • Ship Android and iOS home-screen icons for a PWA without designing each size by hand.
  • Brand a client microsite with their logo across browsers, tabs, and mobile home screens.

Frequently asked questions

What sizes do I get?

A multi-resolution favicon.ico bundling 16, 32, and 48 pixel icons, standalone 16, 32, and 48 pixel PNGs, a 180 pixel apple-touch-icon, and 192 and 512 pixel Android icons.

Does it work with a non-square image?

Yes. We centre-crop your image to a square before resizing, so a wide or tall upload still produces clean square favicons. For best results, upload an image that already has your mark roughly centred.

What format should I upload?

PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, or SVG all work. PNG with a transparent background is ideal because every output keeps that transparency, except the Apple touch icon which is flattened onto white to match iOS guidance.

Where do I put the files?

Drop them in the root of your website (e.g. public/ in most frameworks), then paste the link tags from the included README.txt into your HTML head. The site.webmanifest covers PWA home-screen install on Android.

Why is the Apple touch icon not transparent?

Apple's iOS renders transparent pixels on the home screen as black, which looks broken. The Apple touch icon is flattened onto white so transparent logos still look intentional once installed.
